WRITING: Signs or posters!

Image
Hi students! Next week are the school parties and each class has been assigned to do an activity in English class to liven up the parties. We have to make the signs and posters. Everything we will create, will be placed on the walls of the corridors of the center. For this activity, we will organize ourselves in pairs. Each couple will be able to choose whether make a sign or a poster. It is important to note that for both options, the text has to be in English. There must be, at least, two written sentences, such as: “Ole ole ole the school parties have begun!” “My school has great parties!” Before making the signs or posters, each couple must agree and choose the phrases they want to appear in the chosen option. Once they have decided their phrases, the teacher will turn on the digital whiteboard and use the IDoceo app roulette where the names of the students will appear. Each couple, one by one, will go to the blackboard and write in an activity with white panels and

READING: Riddles

Hi students! In the previous session, we did a Speaking activity that many of you liked and you told me that you wanted to do it as a game to play at home with family or friends. So I thought of explaining the activity in more depth here and at the end of this post, I will share an example and a link that will help you find new texts. Placed in pairs, they must silently read the small texts that will appear on the digital whiteboard. They will be descriptions of well-known people, elements or important moments. From the text they must guess what or who they are. We will give 10 minutes for them to read the text and for each couple to agree to decide what or who it is about and write it on a small magnetic board that will be previously given to each couple with their corresponding marker and eraser. Once the 10 min have passed, they must raise the blackboard with the written word up high so that we can all see what each pair has written. For each hit they will be given a red sticker

LISTENING: Visualitation

Hi students! Today I am going to share a new activity that we are going to do in the next session called "Visualization".  For this activity we will use the listening that the British Council website contains To carry out this activity it is necessary to create a calm environment in the classroom, the students sitting at their seats will close their eyes and listen to the voice of a speaker who will tell them a story using such vocabulary. The narration of the story will be carried out calmly and slowly, at a slow pace so that the students can see and assimilate the sequence of events. Once the story is finished, the students will open their eyes and the teacher will randomly ask various questions about it to check if they have followed and understood the story. If a student forgets something, a classmate can help him answer. Below, I share the link to the website of the listening that we are going to work on, this is called:  British Council I hope you like this activity and

SPEAKING: Spiderweb game

Hi students! Finishing with the review of vocabulary worked during the last month, next week we will carry out an activity called the "Spiderweb" whose purpose is to promote the development of speech and work topics and vocabulary. For this activity, I, as a teacher, will have previously created  an activity with website EducaPlay  with different images related to the vocabulary that we are going to work on. To start with the activity, let's place all the chairs in a circle and I will explain that for this activity, they will have to look at the image that will appear on the digital whiteboard. Next, I will randomly give one of the students a ball of yarn. This student will start by telling a story based on the first image that will appear on the digital board and then will throw the ball to a partner to continue the story and so on. Each student must hold a part of the wool thread. If the ball drops or touches the floor, the student who has not been able to catch
